Transportation Information

There are multiple airport options to fly in to for the Seabird Resort: San Diego International Airport (39 miles), John Wayne Airport-Orange County (48 miles), Los Angeles International Airport (87 miles), Long Beach Airport (68 miles), Ontario International Airport (84 miles).

BY CAR – The easiest transportation from those airports is to rent a car and drive. Parking at the hotel will be $20 per night. If you do not want to rent a car, the best option is to fly to San Diego International Airport.

BY TRAIN – Travelers headed to and from San Diego International Airport can connect with Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner and the COASTER at Amtrak’s Old Towntrain station by using the free San Digo Flyer Shuttle, which departs every 20-30 minutes, 7 days a week.

All train services will be unavailable Saturday, November 16, 2024, and Sunday,
November 17, 2024. All services will resume on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The train ride from the Old Town station to Oceanside takes approximately 45 minutes, and departs frequently between the two lines. A Coaster Regional Day pass is valid on the Amtrak and the cost about $15 each way. (There is a blackout period Wednesday through Monday Thanksgiving week. The week after the conference.) The cost is approximately $34 roundtrip. The Oceanside train depot is on the corner behind the hotel, and you will walk one block to enter through the lobby.

BY BUS – Another option is the MTA Bus 392 which runs to the Santa Fe Depot from the airport for about $3. From John Wayne International-Orange County Airport, you can take the iShuttle to the Tustin Metrolink train station. The transfer to the station is free when you present your Metrolink ticket. From there, you can take the Metrolink to Oceanside for approximately 56 minutes $23.50 roundtrip. The Oceanside train depot is on the corner behind the hotel, and you will walk one block to enter through the lobby.
